this is a terrible translation in english. "The love of his life" would be better.
i think 'recontrer' should be accepted, because the sentence could mean 'the great love of his life' ie a person.
lost a point here - is it ok to use mourir instead of finir?
Why is it more correct to use connaître (to know) than rencontrer here?
Can 'aussi' take other places in the sentence, such as after 'amour'?
Just wondering why we add the "de" between peur and mourir
To be afraid is intransitive-- "J'ai peur de <quelquechose>" (I am afraid of <something>), or "J'ai peur que <qqc.>" (I am afraid that <something>)
The big love? Hehehe. The love of his life would be a better English translation, as someone has previously said.
