One of my favorite songs: "Весна ущё в начале"
The immortal Vladimir Vysotsky... Bill's link isn't working (Jan. 2020), but everyone should check out "Весна ещё в начале" wherever it remains! Is it possible to sing like this without emphysema? And, have I ever told you kids about the '60s?
That song just made my day :) Thanks!
Seems like "Now it is spring," should be acceptable.
Nothing. It is acceptable.
The "now" seems a little gratuitous to me. "It's Spring." is a better English sentence. "Now" is understood. Not unlike the Russian propensity to drop the linking verb. It's understood.
Is the now really necesary?
Yes. I tried with no now, but it doesn't work. Торон, can you help us?
Why does, "It is spring right now", not work?
the С sounds like a Ф here
"Beauty is in the ear of the behearer"?
B('V') sounds like б?
Life is skittles and life is beer...
Spring is here sounds more like natural English
Когда весна придёт, не знаю. Пройдут дожди, сойдут снега... It's still winter now
Now is spring
