I just finished lesson 1 in the Arts category, which covers music. However, they only teach you two instruments, flute and violin. I would really like to see this lesson expanded, maybe into more lessons, in order to teach all the instruments of the orchestra. It would not take much, but I think it would be a nice touch. For example, "fagot" means bassoon, "hobo" means oboe, and "alt viool" means viola. As a musician myself, I would really appreciate this extra little detail in the course. What do other people think of this?

Hi Benssoon! We'll take your feedback into account.

As mentioned, the amount of vocabulary we can include is limited and for us having to maintain more sentences and lessons and, as a result, having to process many more reports simply based on teaching orchestra related words would mean that we wouldn't be able to spend our energy and effort on more crucial elements of the course (such as grammar explanations and exercises).

However, if you're interested in creating a list or thread with this vocab yourself, I will link to it via our stickied grammar thread (It's not really grammar, but it may interest learners). :)

Extra (specialist) vocabulary is usually very easy to obtain from Memrise or other flash card sites if not from a dictionary. Unless there is different grammar involved then two instruments should be sufficient to show how you discuss musical instruments.

http://muziek-en-film.infonu.nl/instrumenten/22905-muziekinstrumenten-engels-frans-nederlands.html maybe this is useful. Too bad they didn't give the "lidwoorden" for the instruments
