Hi, I am interested in learning Russian in the near future using duolingo. My question is "will we be expected to learn the alphabet before hand, or will duolingo have a separate section where they introduce the new letters?" Also, when is the English->Russian course expected to be added? (Russian>English is currently in beta)

While you put a lot of effort into your guide, and it is very informative, it doesn't really answer this question.

It answers the last part of the question, which is "When". The closest time estimate was provided by Luis, the CEO, in the Incubator Updates. It is linked within the New User FAQ's area on questions about new languages. There are no other answers at this time.
