[Suggestion] Link to place to buy books & DL Book Club?

As most of you should already know, DL must be used in accordance with other resources in order for us to effectively learn a language.

I have been most interested with reading children's books. With the help of basic vocab, I can open a culture and learn about (for me) Italian values.

It's amazing that DL is a FREE website and I wanna make sure that it stays that way.

So here's my suggestion: I want new link on the top where language learners who want to start reading and don't know where to go (for instance, my library has no selection of Italian literature...) can click!

This will bring them to a page that might be linked with a book store or Google shopping or something that offers a wide selection of books to purchase.

It would also be swell if DL users could rate these books and leave comments about them which could help in deciding which book to purchase.

I think this would be helpful because (1) DL might be able to make a little dough off this (AND THEY DESERVE IT!) (2) Have access to another resource (3) Paying an author for their hard work (4) A physical copy helps for some who learn by highlighting or writing notes (5) We could expand this for DL learners to join a Portuguese book club or maybe a German one!

This is a book I would suggest for Italian learners: https://www.google.com/search?q=delitto+piazza+del+campo=utf-8=utf-8=t=org.mozilla:en-US:official=firefox-a#q=delitto+piazza+del+campo=org.mozilla:en-US:official=shop=4483448249814889369

So, what do you think?

I also like paper and 'real books.' Rather than having Duo re-invent the wheel, take a look at PaperBackSwap.com There a person can trade books for the price of shipping. I have picked up several 'free' Spanish books there, in exchange for some Harlequin Romance novels I bought up for ten cents at a garage sale.

Great resource. I didn't see a search for book by language section in their advanced search options though. Just found a ton of English written books about Italian cooking.

There is a way to search for 'language instruction Spanish' but it takes some digging to figure out there search function.

a must read for anyone english speaking learning german is English Grammar for Students of German cecile zorach and charlotte melin. This books has been invaluable to meandering through the very different structure of german. It is geared very much toward those that are terrible at grammar in the first place and are now basically having to relearn everything and apply it to german.
