Is a "bag for life" a type of bag, or is it a charge for life?

It is indeed a type of bag, which has especially become more popular since they started charging for plastic bags.

Me neither. I thought it was a way of saying you are always going to be charged for bags from this point on. I think we have "bring your own bags" to equate with the "bags for life."
