Hej! Jag undrar om det finns någon här som kan prata Älvdalska eller Våmhusmål, eller som känner någon som kan det, som skulle ha lust till någon form av språkutbyte över skype. Jag kan då ingen Älvdalska alls, men jag vill väldigt gärna lära mig. Jag har pluggat Japanska; kan så mycket Franska jag hunnit lära mig här på duolingo och kan flytande Engelska. Just nu pluggar jag lingvistik i Göteborg.

I speak Övdalian/Elfdalian. I don’t use Skype, but if you have any questions regarding grammar or whatever, feel free to write to me. I’m not a native speaker, but I’ve studied it a fair bit.

Awsome! I might just do that. How have you studied it? It seems like a language that is very remote, and hard to find any kind of resources on the subjekt. There's that thick grammar book you can buy, but I'd rather try learning it by speaking than plowing through a 600 pages long book about grammar, if you know what i mean.

I’ve picked it up through reading Facebook posts in the group about the language and when I haven’t understood a word I’ve looked it up in the dictionary and when I’ve written things myself I’ve used the dictionary and consulted the grammar when unsure. Then I’ve read quite a lot of academic papers and spoken to a few native speakers on occasion. All this over the span of maybe 5 years or so.
