Enfin, mon arbre français est terminée.
Bonjour à tous!
Yesterday, I completed my French tree! If I were reading the discussions more often, I would have learnt sooner that it's somewhat of a tradition to post a discussion to the community stating tree completion and would've posted something much earlier but.. no one really cares when.
As at the time of this message, my daily streak shows exactly how many days I've been using the app on my phone (since December 2015). I began with the Casual XP goal thinking that I'd be removing the app in a couple hours but... Il a été amusant! The 1st day, I switched it to Insane & have kept it that way! Lentement, j'appris et réappris. I was addicted and grew more and more determined to become fluent (enough to sing [& swear]) in the language. When parts weakened, I returned to them, took my time and strengthened 'em, no rush.
Once the semester began in January, I enrolled in my first (non-Duo) French course just for the fun of it and... I've been at a really good advantage! I understand that completing a tree isn't enough to learn this or any language -- I'll continue to keep it bright golden as well as find ways to apply the French practically.
I love this app and appreciate all the great people who made and continue to develop it and the community -- a community I wish to be of use to also. Thanks, Duo! ...Et merci Stromae pour l'inspiration!
Congratulations :) Have you used any additional resources along with duolingo?
Thanks! I've been using my college lessons, French music with lyrics to strengthen my listening skills & familiarity with various accents, & the occasional Google search. (^_^)
I studied the language long ago, so I am using Duo as a refresher. Emmanuel Moire, you could say, is my musical inspiration <3 Congrats on completing the tree :D
Quoi de neuf? Je viens de commencer et il est tellement amusant ? combien de temps avez -vous fait français pour ?
Oui! Il est amusant, non?! J'appris le français pendant près de... 115 jours.
congratulations on finishing your tree!
PS I rarely encounter anyone with such a similar last name to mine.
