Why Learn This Language
I'm learning French because its a cool language, but mostly because Miraculous Ladybug Season 2 is coming out in 4 or 5 months and I can't wait for it. I am not going to wait for other people to translate it for me.
Yes, it's a TV show about two superheroes -- Ladybug and Chat Noir -- who defend France from these butterfly-like creatures called akumas that cause people to become evil. I think the English dub may be on Nickelodeon.
(But I think it would be helpful to watch the French dub if you want to really improve your French skills.)
I am doing French for the exact same reason lmao. Also because I've always been interested in learning French.
Same here. It's one of the main reasons why I came back to do French, LOL.
I wanted to sound good while speaking. lol Also I have some friends in France. :)
So many books and songs are peppered with French, I got sick of using Google Translate every time I encountered it. Duolingo, coupled with two semesters of French so far, has helped a ton. Now I realize that 90% of that random French in books and songs is very simple and rarely need to translate lol
I'm learning french at school, and Duolingo is great! Can't wait to be 100% proficient :)
I want to learn 6 languages so that I want to be clever person or go to another country.
Holiday in France every year and have relied on very basic sentence structure to get by thus far. This is okish, I can get my point across and understand very basic slowly spoken responses, but I can't engage in back and forth conversation.
I am learning French because some of my family have moved to Paris and we now visit France more often. I want to be able to communicate with the French people in their own language rather than expecting them to speak English to me.
they must be really impressed!!!! I would never be able to speak fluent French!!!!
I think it may be helpful eventually if I decide to move somewhere else. I also enjoy languages in general.
