"A saia é para minha tia" it's in portuguese from Brazil. "A saia é para a minha tia" is for portuguese from Portugal

Obrigada! I appreciate knowing this difference.

"A saia é para a minha tia" is not accepted as per 14/2/2015. And if you want me to stop the clutter, let me report the obvious mistakes. Thanks.

So that was my question: is A saia é pela minha tia ok?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Paulenrique

No, it does not work. When you show a "destination", use "Para".

Ok, so aunt is the destination? And use pela (por) when?

"Por" is mainly used to tranlated "through" or when it is about "in behalf of".
