I think it would be a good idea to offer a few more options for translation practice, even if the course doesn't exist. For example, I'm a francophone learning German, and I'm currently doing it through the "German for English speakers" course since there isn't one for French speakers. Of course it would be awesome if that course existed, even though I know these things take lots of time and work. However offering the option to translate German texts into French wouldn't require huge amounts of extra work, since translations would be done and edited by French speaking users. It would also be greatly helpful, since for me (and assumably a lot of people who have a similar second-language level as I do), following a course in English is fine, however writing well in English isn't so easy.

Thanks a lot in advance for your consideration, and for your efforts to make such an amazing free service even better!

I agree to this suggestion. I'm already waiting for the French for Germans course, not because I want to do the lessons of this course but because I want the possibility to translate French texts into German.

Great to hear that you're interested in translating German texts from French! Through the Incubator it's possible that a German for French speakers course could launch in the near future. We always launch the language first.

Once they have a German to French course, there will be an Immersion that allows you to translate French articles into German.

And once they have a French to German class, you'll get German articles that you can translate into French.
