Finnish for Estonian speakers

I know that there are many people who are waiting for the Finnish course for English speakers, but I think it would make more sense to create the course for Estonian speakers first, because the languages are closely related, so creation of the course will be much easier. Also, it would help me not only to learn some basic Finnish, but also to improve my Estonian, which I've been learning for some time. I don't hope that there will be the Estonian from English course soon, but it is strange, that there aren't still any courses for Estonians, even English. Finnish is popular in Estonia, so this course will be useful for many people.

In the meantime, you can learn English or French from Estonian here: https://lingvist.io/et/
If you want to learn Estonian, you could always give it a shot by "learning" English.

It makes sense. These two languages are very close (finno-ugric family) and have a lot os similarities. My dream is learn finnish and estonian, but the internet resources are very limited, sadly. So, I hope one day i'll see them here.

For learning Estonian you can try the online course Keeleklikk. In my opinion, it is good. And try to find out if there are any courses in your city.

I'd highly recommend, wherever you find it, that you take both very slowly, but also separately. I visited Estonia knowing both Russian and Finnish, and felt like I'd been drugged the entire time I was there. It sounded like I should understand about half of everything I heard, but absolutely nothing made any sense. Good luck in your search, and learning!
