News in Slow French

Hello,

For anybody that is learning French and wants to improve their listening comprehension skills, I would highly recommend French podcasts.

My personal favourite is News in Slow French, which isn't unbearably slow and not overwhelmingly fast; it's in the Goldilocks zone. Also, it'll inform you about what's going on in the world. No, I'm not a sponsor for them or anything of the kind, but I just wanted to share this link with anyone else who might be interested!

If any of you have any other good resources for listening to French, please let me know!

I think you need to pay if you want to get the full transcripts and lessons.

You can also try the Journal en français facile, on rfi: http://savoirs.rfi.fr/fr/apprendre-enseigner/langue-francaise/journal-en-francais-facile It seems pretty good, and you've got a new one everyday.

True but i am a cheapskate so i only use their free stuff. the first 7 minutes or so is free and there is a huge backlog of podcasts to browse through so its good for current affairs type vocab. Also i use it on my ipad and make sure i look at the transcript and the vocab list, (actually come to think about it i mostly use the news in slow spanish but i guess the same applies to the french one)

An abbreviated version is available for free, it's about 8 minutes long once a week. It's in iTunes. You have to pay to get the full lesson and transcripts and whatnot.

I'm pretty sure that it is free on iTunes—should be the same for the website though I'm not sure.
