Finally beat the tree today with all gold

Done in about 4 months time at level 16. I spent quite a bit of efforts to maintain all the skills gold during the process. However I believe there is still more revision work for me to do particularly for later lessons, as the fluency ratio only stands at 26% so far.

Congrats!

I know tree finishers get asked this a lot, but I can't help myself. How would you asses your level at the end of the tree? Have you tried reading or listening to any native material?

I was trying reading some French explanations slowly in the museum. It turned out that I could understand more than I originally thought, probably because Duolingo taught the French grammatical rules quite comprehensively + many French vocabularies are similar to English. The listening skill is still pretty poor though.

I just start attempting French - Spanish in Duo very slowly while reviewing Eng-French, a pretty challenging task. Hopefully this will go well. One problem I found is that I couldn't switch the base language in the mobile app easily. Not sure if anyone has got ideas to solve that problem.
