Being able to post multiple assignments for different dates.

I wanted to go through the assignments section and put in the various assignments for my students for the rest of the year. When I did this I noticed that the work they were currently doing was counted towards the last assignment I put in for May 20. How do I put in assignments so that the kids can be working on this current weeks tasks, but also if they want to move ahead the work they do does not count unless I have the assignment posted? If I post the assignment to early then students who have not completed this weeks assignment and are working on it, then their work counts towards the newest assignment posted. I hope I am explaining this correctly. I would really like to be able to put all the assignments in, and let the kids work at their own pace, especially those who want to work ahead. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If I understand correctly, you essentially want to be able to set a start time for an assignment, in addition to a finish time? If so, I second this, and think it would be a useful feature.

Hi! We do not currently allow start dates on assignments. You are explaining it very clearly, and we are taking note of all teachers who are requesting this. Thank you! :]

This is an excellent idea. I'm personally enjoying the current improvements while looking forward to the addition of more options for making assignments in the future including the option to assign a unit that has not necessarily been unlocked by every student--hoping that if a teacher assigned it then all students included in the classroom could have that particular lesson unlocked. I appreciate that Duo Lingo has put a lot into the flow of their curriculum, and yet we don't all approach content the same way or in the same order in our curriculum. More flexibility for the classroom will be received with open arms.

    Hi KimberlyMc667691,

    I don't think it's currently possible.
