Defeat howl appears too fast

After we lose our last (or empty) heart, we have no time to see the missed answer as the sad owl appears immediately. I find it slightly annoying.

I would suggest redesigning the losing screen with a shot of the three mistakes that made us lose.

This would be a great way to learn from our mistakes while still be less annoyed with the too-fast-to-see correction on the last mistake that was made.

There is a show my answer link at the top of the right hand corner in both the regular lessons and the timed that takes you back to your mistake.

Woahh, Thanks for your answer. I was annoyed by that as well. Maybe I was angrily pressing the restart lesson button too fast to pay attention. haha

Thanks for your reply. Indeed there is such a link. This was more of a suggestion about improving the UI and offering some learnings tools along the way. I probably didn't clarify my post enough.

I like your suggestion Layne. I think that could work. I'm not sure though, as for myself, when I fail lessons I take it as a sign I didn't learn the concept of the lesson well enough. I use the opportunity to beat myself over the head with the repetitiveness of the lesson, and begin to self-flagellate over my remorse of committing so many careless errors and wonder what my life could have been if I was more focused. It spirals out of control from there. haha I still like your suggestion though.

I see your point. I agree it might make it easier to pass lessons without properly learning the underlying rules of the language. There's a balance Duolingo needs to achieve and keep, I think. Not sure where my suggestion falls in it though.

Oh, I see. I like your suggestion of adding a shot of the three mistakes to the losing screen. That way when I go to do the lesson again it will allow me not to make any more mistakes pertaining to the same issue.
