Nu finns det också SVT Nyheter på lätt svenska!
Some of you are already familiar with Radio Sweden på lätt svenska (http://sverigesradio.se/sida/default.aspx?programid=4916) and Klartext, which is a bit harder but still well below native level (http://sverigesradio.se/sida/default.aspx?programid=493), but I also stumbled upon SVT Nyheter på lätt svenska when poking around on their site. http://www.svtplay.se/svt-nyheter-pa-latt-svenska
If you click the "T" button on the lower-right side of the video player, you can see Swedish subtitles. The only disadvantage is that the broadcasts are erased after 7 days (so no binge watching, if that's your thing).
Them friendly Swedes, speaking all slowly for us foreigners. Tack!
yes I also looked at the http://www.svtplay.se/svt-nyheter-pa-latt-svenska , good find :-) Also they don't use flashplayer for this chanel, html5player works fine. The On/off-able subtext(s) will probably will help a lot for new learners. You can also se an english (permanent) subtitled version, (and a not so useful(?) dubbed Arabic(?) version of the same news program.
(For the more tech-oriented people: you can use youtube-dl to save a program local for later private use. They have the copyrights, so you probably should not upload the content somewhere.. )
ooooh that's excellent! Longer than radio på lätt svenska's segments, with multiple topics, video to keep me interested, and subtitles, which I try to avoid looking at, but helpful if I need a bit of help or don't know a word. In short, AWESOME, thanks :)
What's wrong with "lätt svenska"? It is not about Swedish that is easy to read, so why should "lättläst" make any sense?
"läsa" can also refer to study or to interpret.
But the biggest reason was that I thought it was written news only (with speech reading it as help).
I can't find the little "T" you mentioned. I'm on PC and there is nothing at the bottom right of the video for me.
It looks like the "T" that enables Swedish subtitles is only available on the video without the English & Arabic subtitles (i.e. only on the pure Swedish version).
Does anybody know why there are no longer any broadcasts available? When I go to the link it says: "Inga avsnitt tillgängliga just nu."
I used to watch those news quite regularly, haven't done so for a couple of weeks, and wanted to start again.
Thanks for the info! Great news! I was afraid that the format has been discontinued.
I was just hoping to brush up my listening skills a little before our vacation in two weeks (near Vetlanda, Småland) :-(
