What is the point of the certificate?

I just spent 25 lingots on doing one of those evaluation exam thingys and I did not do well (1.8 out of 5.0). I guess this means I am not good at Spanish, but is there something I can do to up this skill or take it again or something?

I like to use the certificates to track my progress. When I took my first certificate test, I scored a 2.31. Most recently I scored a 4.11! It's nice to see tangible progress!

OK so this DOES get better - good to know, don't let it get me down on my progress so far. Here's a lingot!

Adding to that, the certificate will test you on all of the information in the entire course, whether you've completed the lessons for it or not. So, I would focus on learning the material in the tree and finishing that before paying for another certificate. But, sometimes it's fun to check progress from time to time, so long as you have the lingots :)

It's the ENTIRE course? That's good to know. I've reach the 3rd checkpoint again so I'll try it again after a good streak or something. Thanks Moderator! I'd give you a lingot if you needed them...!
