American phrasiology only accepted

Why is it that american phrasiology sems to be correct. Often British phrase are rejected although they are perfectly acceptable English

Because the person who made the course is not necessarily an expert in British English. ;-) They will add it if you tell them about it, though. Next time it happens, click the "Report" button and report it as "My sentence should be accepted" along with a note saying the sentence is in British English.

if that happens click below the sentence to report that our translation should be included. DL was created by americans, so there are more american translations. It is up to the people fluent in british english to submit potentially missing translations. There are often a couple of hundred or even thousand translations for sentences - especially at higher levels. It is literally impossible for the DL team to have included them all :)
