Correct English Translations Marked Wrong (Swedish)
As a native speaker of English I want to call attention to correct translations that are being marked wrong because the adverb "never" can come either before or after an auxilary verb. This has happened to me several times. But both ways are correct, extremely common and mean exactly the same thing. Coming before the auxillary verb is slightly more emphatic.
Latest example from Past Perfect lesson:
"Hon hade aldrig hittat honom" which I translated as "She never had found him," and was marked wrong.
The correct alternatives were"
She'd never found him
She had never found him.
The same is true for "is": You can say "He never is going or He is never going and there is no difference in meaning. Du! Det är inte fel.
