Completed my Swedish tree!!

Finally!! Haha. I am going to try to write in both Swedish and English for this post. Hopefully I don't make too many errors :)

I want to say first: a thousand thanks! to everyone who helped with the course. You have given me the key to the music I listen to and much more. I love Sweden: the forests, fields, cities, buildings, culture.. and the people! I want to move to Sweden one day. There is something so special in Sweden that draws me and inspires me. My art (photography, painting, printmaking) is better now since I have been in Sweden. I have too many ideas for projects when I will spend a month in the Stockholm-area in the summer. I will tell everyone on Duolingo how it goes with my Swedish then :)

Why Sweden? I started listening to music in Swedish in 2010. I tried to learn Swedish then but I didn't find anything that worked for me. I still listened to Swedish music--I thought Swedish was a beautiful language, even if I couldn't understand it without google translate. My favorite band became Den svenska björnstammen, and their music helped me with many difficulties in my life. So, I read more about Sweden and wanted to travel there. When, finally, I travelled to Sweden in July 2015, I didn't want to go home again and decided I would move there one day. When I came home in August, I started this course.

So thanks again everyone who worked, commented, etc on this course! You have all helped me take a step to realising my dream. I'm looking forward to the update to the tree, but in the mean time, I'd love suggestions on other ways of improving my Swedish.

Great! Jag är happy for dig! I'm still learning and it's a long way to go. This motivates me, as the long tree seems to never end. Swedish is one of my favorite languages.

Yeah, I remember feeling like it would never get done! But it is far from impossible. You can totally get there!

Grats! I'm currently learning Swedish... it's an excellent language. How long did it take you to complete the tree?

April 22, 2016

I started in mid August of 2015. It's taken me a bit of time. I definitely could have put more work in each day but I have a limited attention span haha.

Good job on your tree!! I'm also totally in love with Sweden too. I've not been back in over two years now. I used to go once or twice a year. Hopefully this year!! /fingercrossed Here are some links that maybe useful. There is a Memerise course with all the words from this Duoling tree and recently they added extra words to it. There is also an other Memerise course with idioms and colloquialisums that's explaines each one in Swedish what it means.

Over two years?? Oh man I hope you can return this year!!! Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be sure to check them out :)
