I put "Dw i'n hoffi meddalwedd Apple" and was marked wrong because I didn't translate Apple to Afal. I was assuming that since "Apple" is the name of a company it shouldn't be translated. Is it usual to translate company names if there is an obvious translation?

No, I know nobody who would refer to the company as "Afal", it is unusual to translate brands.

Diolch. I'll submit my translation as an alternative if the sentence comes up again.

Thanks for the suggestion, that's done now.

'Apple' was still rejected when I first attempted this sentence early in May 2017, nearly a year after rmcode's posting above.

It's in the system though recently we've been getting a lot of comments that answers that are correct and are in the system aren't being accepted. Could you please type exactly the answer you put so that I can see if there were any other mistakes in your sentence?
