Recently, as a school project, my Irish class was split into groups and tasked with the challenge of producing a film as Gaeilge. The only criteria was that it had to include some form of an old Irish Mythological Character. And so, my group decided to do a film on Cú Chulainn, (though we called it Cú Cailín).
Uploading it to YouTube got me thinking about whether or not there would be an interest in more Irish Language content on YouTube, or just the Internet in general. I was just curious and would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Also, here's the link to the video we made. It's nothing spectacular, but a lot of work was put in and I hope you all enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO-TD11vjWo
Go Raibh Míle Maith Agaibh!
The pizza delivery man was originally going to play a really big part in it, but unfortunately the project had to be handed in by a certain date, and we didn't have time to include everything we wanted. Thank you for the kind feedback :)
It's a funny little movie. Maith thú. I'd like to see more, but I'd also like having subtitles as Gaeilge (as well as English ones).
Subtitles as Gaeilge have been published now. Enjoy :)
That was a cute little movie. The slow-mo fighting was neat, and especially the pooka being in all the selfies. I didn't even notice :)
Seamus Walsh isn't a real person. It's a long, long running gag in my class. So long in fact, that we can't remember where he originally came from.
Thanks very much for the translation. :-)
I like it! I think it would be great if there were more Irish content on Youtube. Duolingo is one way to learn a language, but it's important to keep in mind that the best way to really learn Irish (or any language, for that matter) is to also read a lot and listen to real spoken language.
dia duit, btw i dont know that much irish but... how do u change ur profile pic?
