Like basketball but no dribbling with ball. More static and throwing to your team mates. It's a "girls" game. We weren't allowed to play basketball like the boys were in school :-/

We would occasionally play with the girls in junior school. Harder than basketball, in a lot of respects. No backboard, for a start!

It's pretty common for girls to play it in School here in the UK (at least I think it is). It kind of like basket ball I guess.

Welsh "rhwyd" appears to be cognate with Spanish "red" and Portuguese/Galician "rede" ("net").
