Email notifications (in detail)

So about a month ago, my email notifications stopped, and I have no idea why. They work for other sites, but not Duolingo! Then I made another account and they stopped for that one too. I've tried several things but they won't work!!!! Here are some things a tried...

  • Submitting a bug report

  • Posting discussions

  • Contacting mods

I contacted Usagiboy7, Lindakanga, and Lrtward
  • Switching emails

  • Making a folder to catch the emails (which Usagi suggested)

  • Turning them off and on

  • Turning push notifications on the app off (suggested by my dad, who is very good with text*

  • and probably some other methods that I can't think of right now.

Conclusions so far

Too many notifications?


If ANYONE knows why this is happening and/or how to fix it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help!!!!!! I really want them back because I keep missing what people are saying to me. :(

I'm using Chrome if that's any help, and also here are some screenshots: emilypost

I briefly used Outlook and my notifications didn't work either, so I switched back to gmail.

I know it's been 2 years, and if you haven't got your notifications fixed you're likely to never see this, but if you have and could give an update I'd appreciate that.

I've done all these steps as well. The first time I stopped receiving emails I changed my address and that worked for about five months but now it has stopped again and I'm at a loss for what to do. I started on AOL, now it doesn't work on Hotmail/Outlook (merged). I don't want to have to create a new account just for Duo mail.

I'm finding a ton of older posts like this about it happening but none of them ever seem to find a resolution. :(
