Si means "if"? Not "yes"?

I always thought "si" is "yes" in Spanish, but it doesn't appear as a translation in the list of words

si means if while sí means yes. The accent is an important distinction.

I stumbled a bit on that also, but then I hit "ctrl +" and could actually see the accent, those accents on the I's are very tricky
