"Dyw/dydy" is always accompanied by "ddim". Yes if translated word for you would have a double negative, but since you don't translate directly you end up with "Dewi lingo's car is not ugly."
The apparent double negative is not a problem in Welsh. The two languages do not work in the same way, so literal translations are not always very helpful.
