no sound for Vietnamese
Is it correct that the Vietnamese for English speakers is not supposed to have any sound? Does anybody know when it will have sound added? The course doesn't do me much good if I don't know how to pronounce anything.

It has some sound, but not for all types of exercise. Picture exercises don't have sound at all, but most of the sentences I've encountered so far do have sound.
I am live in Vietnam, I understand your trouble. But Vietnamese in Beta, that is difficult to complete. So I hope you try and empathize! So, do you mind if you try to learn Vietnamese? Go! I support you :)
I usually learn with the app. Vietnamese is not yet available, so I have to use the desktop version. When I started Duolingo first time, I also could not hear a sound. It appeared that my settings were different to those in my app: the speaker box was not checked. Maybe it is the same with your settings.
The problem is that there are less places with sound files. In other languages, they give the sounds when you're first learning and click the vocabulary word. This one doesn't. So by the time I'm ready to test, I'm listening to a word I've never listened to before and it's hard to figure out which one it is (like the word for "child" with me).
