Is weight of people in Wales measured in pounds, kilograms, stone?
This sentence is referring to pounds as in money.
The metric system for personal measurement has only come common in the UK in the last 20 or so years.
Anyone in their 30s+ would be much more comfortable with the non-metric systems.
Me too, mate.
Why would the use of pound as oppossed to pounds be wrong as both use in English? Maybe not grammatically correct but commonly used.
