Sometimes Duo is very finicky about particles like "in". That might be it.

Personally, I would never place the time indicator (this year) in the middle of an English sentence, but in purely grammatical terms i suppose it can be done (so I would prefer either "This year, the company has made ninty million dollars in profit" or "The company has made ninety million dollars in profit this year")
