90 Days Of German: I have finished my tree!
Wow! It feels amazing to have finally completed the German tree after 90 days! I cannot express how I am currently feeling!
The German tree was really long. Longer than any tree I have ever seen, well maybe the Russian tree is an exception:P
At the start, everything was going smoothly and I was keeping up with my goal to do a row of skills a day, but then there is a certain part of the tree, (you'll know when you reach it) had too much 8 or more lesson skills, and it took me a while to finish them. Once I had gotten over the hill, everything else was just a smooth ride down to the bottom of the hill where I met my golden owl:)
There are many people who have helped me along the way, commenting "well done" or "congratulations" every time I finished a skill, but there's one person I'd really like to thank: kcw_AspRingF-xll! Thanks for motivating me to finish my tree! I couldn't have done it without you! and, I hope you finish your German tree soon too!
Thanks for all the support, and good luck with your trees!
Great job! I see you're at level 23, do you want to join this contest with me? I won't be able to participate unless I find a partner at my same level.
By the way, have some lingots for your great accomplishment!
Great! Just saying, I have no idea how you managed to get to level 23 in 90 days, It's taken me an eternity.
In 90 days? Great job! Have a few lingots! What motivated you to learn German? And at that rate?\
Thanks:) My dad is originally from Germany, but he never taught me the language. I suppose I learned it to speak with my German relatives and avoid the awkwardness of not speaking German when I'm over there.
Yes, he's a Jack Russel Terrier. He's really hyperactive during the day and then he snuggles by the fire at night:)
Great job! That's insane that you finished the tree at level 23 in 90 days! I also like your method of doing a row of skills a day.
Thanks:) I find it a great method because, you finish the tree quickly but you don't learn too much every day.
Way to go. I've been on German for over a year, and I still haven't finished the tree.
Thanks:) and good luck! It's nice to see new users enjoying learning a new language:)
A tree is just the name given to the course, because all the skills resemble a tree on the home page. It's just some Duolingo jargon to get used to:)
Fabulous! Do you feel like you are fluent in German now? I can't wait until I finish a tree...congratulations!!!
I havent had them my whole life! I am saying to you have you had it your whole life? I had one but it died in kindergarden:( worst drive home ever. When my mom said she cremeated the dog i had no idea what it meant. She explained and i yelled at her for setting the dog on fire( i still didnt quite get creameation, and she didnt burn the dog) why the heck is this not at the bottom!-_-
I got my dog when I was around six, I think:) We went out to get him a bed the day we got him, and when we came back he had made one in the dryer!
Lucky! I am 1 minute older and THREE inches shorter. My sis is 5 10! So i am...5 7. I am tall!
