What's the difference between "On peut" and "Nous pouvons"?

"On" is of course formally used to designate an unspecified singular third person, "one." From what I understand, it is also popularly used among youth (sorry, generalization) to designate "nous." May whomever correct me if I'm wrong!

'on' can mean 'one' or 'we'. 'nous' is more formal than 'on'. You use 'on' only in informal situations like being with your friends or your family. If unsure which form to use, stick to 'nous'.
