"Var har du sovit i natt?"
Translation:Where have you slept tonight?
It sounds funny in English to me to say "Where have you slept last night?" instead of "Where did you sleep last night?" Also, why is 'tonight' another correct translation of 'i natt'? I thought 'i natt' always meant 'last night'.
No, it could be either last night or tonight.
- Sov så gott i natt! = Sleep well tonight!
- Jag sov inte så gott i natt. = I did not sleep very well last night.
You can also say i går natt for ’last night’ which is less ambiguous.
