It that country as in "woods & farmland", or as in "state", or both?
Depending on the context, gwlad can be used for both:
Not allowing 'land'
In general use:
OK, thanks. I suppose I've come across specialised cases such as "Pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad" as quoted above, "Gwlad y iar" (Iceland), and the Welsh govt farming publication "Gwlad".
