Tree complete! Plus thoughts for beginners
Wooo! So it's taken me about 6 weeks to complete my second tree. I'd just like to thank the Duolingo team for making this course in the first place.
Advice for people struggling with turkish/just starting:
The contributors are incredibly helpful, with explanatory comments featuring on nearly every sentence.
The grammar is very separated from the usual Indo-European languages I'm used to studying. Initially it seems incredibly complicated, but when you get used to it, it's actually rather efficient!
Keep trying, I promise it gets easier!
As for me, I've recently started speaking Turkish with Skype partners which I've found on italki, and I'm going to continue practising all the grammar here and elsewhere.
Good luck to you all <3 xoxoxoxo
Before the 6 weeks, did you have any experience with Turkish? I started the tree 2 weeks ago and taking my time. I'd love to be able to speak with my friends by the end of the tree! Also did you use any other sites?
I hadn't, no. I'm now using italki to talk to native Turks. My dream is to be able to have casual conversation by the end of the year
