Finished tree 2.0!

I just felt the need to make a post here thank the creators of the course sincerely for all their extremely hard work.

This course now has so much content that Rosetta Stone would probably try to charge us $700 for it.

I really enjoyed all the new lessons and the quirky personality that this course shows. Thanks so much!

Well done!
I have been working my way through it slowly, to make it last. But I feel that at some point I'm going to speed up, being too eager to see the new content.

I haven't even got 2.0 yet, so unfair!

You are not alone :/

We should make a support group for the poor souls that Tree 2.0 left behind.

How does one know if they have Tree 2.0 or not? I confess, I haven't been doing Duo in a while, so don't remember what my tree looked like before, and have lost enough gilded topics that I wouldn't know that way either... :/

In the new tree, there are 114 skills, compared to 75 in the old one.
I guess counting them would be a hassle, though, so just check the second line from the bottom: tree 2.0 has Materials and Language there, with Celebrate being the sole skill in the bottom line.

Great, thanks!:) Although unfortunately it seems that I'm still on the old Tree :(

Congratulations. :D

I'm not too far from finishing the tree either. As brilliant as the Norwegian course has been, I'm really hoping that the Norwegian course will get upgraded to be on a par with the German course (for example, the speaking exercises and the "tap the pairs" exercises).

Edited: I accidentally "liked" my own comment. I'm honestly not that narcissistic, I just wasn't paying attention while I was "liking" everyone's comments lol!

agreed, now that they have this massive vocabulary, it's just a matter of adding the games the other courses have and maybe a few "bonus courses" and the ability to add it to LinkdIn with the other languages perhaps :D good thoughts!

Is there any way those of us who don't have it yet can get in on that hot action early? I'm going to be in Norway in two weeks, and just finished the 1.0 tree.

i suppose if all new accounts have it, you could make a new account and test out of the first few small sections (although you´d miss SOME additional lessons) in order to get to the meat of it which is a TON of new stuff in the final block. If you were in a serious hurry! :D

Only 50% of the new accounts have it, but it's of course possible to keep making new ones until you get one on the right side of the test.

does that affect any metrics if they end up not finishing or are we past that testing phase?

Yes, it affects the metrics, as the test is still going on. My fingers are beginning to ache from being kept crossed for so long!

Har dere fått noen indikasjon fra Duoling når A/B test vil bli avsluttet?

Fair enough. I'm p. proud of my 115-day streak, though, so I'll just... wait? Start the Swedish tree (since I'm also visiting Stockholm)? Something like that.

also a good choice :D Have fun in stockholm! If you really really really want pizza for some reason on any of those days, eat at Birkastans in stockholm near the karlsberg train station. ate there once and it was great and always something going on

You could always switch between the two accounts daily, but somehow learning Swedish sounds like less of a hassle. Besides, you'd get to perfect your Svorsk. ;)

Is that a thing? My German is pretty functional, so I've got some Nor-tysk action happening already.
