"Вуса і борода"

"Борода" is singular. Why does the word "beard" have no article?

Your question is a year old, but on the off-chance it hasn't been answered... I do not believe Ukrainian has any articles.

There are no articles in Ukrainian. "beard"=борода. It is singular in Ukrainian. "Moustache" in Ukrainian is plural (usualy men have two "вуса" (one is "вус")) :-)
