Dutch online free course, Groningen University
The University of Groningen (RUG) have launched an online free course called "Introduction to Dutch" in the website futurelearn.
It starts the 23 of may, and the duration of it is three weeks and around 3 hours per week.
It's free, so I think that is a good opportunity to improve our skills while we make duolingo courses as well.
Groeten en tot grauw!
Note: I hope that duolingo's staff will understand that is not spam or something like that, because is not a language website. Is just a free course offered by a Dutch University. I'm just helping the rest of students in order to improve their skills. Otherwise, If the staff is not agree with my message, you can eliminate it, but don't block my profile please.
I did it half a year ago.. It'll be interestinh to see if they made something new or just put out the same content every half a year
I did it last year too...I think it helped alert me to some of my pronunciation problems (though it confused me as well because they pronounced pronouns differently that the old Duo woman's voice). I enjoyed it, but it does feel very...commercial-y. The whole thing is in fact one big commercial for the university, to try to get you to go there and take (and pay for) classes in person. I dunno. All MOOCs have inherent limitations. And as a university professor, I of course have pedagogical complaints. But I'm still glad I did it, and in fact I still hope to eventually do a summer course in Dutch at Groningen (but only because a friend lives there - the mooc wasn't THAT effective a sales pitch ;) ).
