Let me know if you need help to understand that ;-)
merci. vous êtes très aimable.
I have started a few lessons and it is the grammar that will cause me problems.
here are some Lingots for a thank you
Yes it will :-) I'm a native and I still make mistakes (that's why I wanted so badly for the course to be released)
Thanks for the lingots!
prosze, you are welcome ... I am up to the animals interesting to see how far up the tree I can go
Gdansk is lovely one of the three cities together on that Baltic coast.... lovely. Rewa is a wee place close by to Gdansk which is a great place for wind surfing and just walking along the beach
I'm learning Polish this way too, and so far so good. I really want to speak it on B1 level in the summer. I guess by that time I'll have learned like 1500 words and expressions on Memrise + will be halfway in Duolingo.
You can still control the status of the course you're interested in at http://incubator.duolingo.com/courses/pl/en/status.
I think you can do it. I think the biggest issue is that everything else, including the directions are in Polish on the site. I've been learning Spanish myself. I tried the English from Spanish program once and was able to do it as far as I had learned Spanish. So English to Spanish and Spanish to English are pretty much the same.
Cheers... the biggest problem would be the letters but so far I have been able to just use the English keyboard ... so all is now well
I use a Polish keyboard online: http://polish.typeit.org/
The system should accept typing nearest Latin characters where you don't have a Polish keyboard, but it is better to learn it well from the beginning, especially because ogonek under a or e or "ł" instead of "l" often means completely different word. The sound is also different, especially for "ą".
I'm Czech (our languages are similar) and I have been to Poland few times and have many Polish friends, but I have big problems with some of these special characters, especially ł/l.
cheers ... I am very happy because I can write the Polish l with the English l and it is accepted .... the Hungarian was more difficult to write the letters and with Russian I need a new keyboard or something else ....
I am really wondering how many people learn Polish on duolingo. Is here anyone who know anything about this?
