A Paris a un cafe

I was able to speak to strangers...rather easily. I wanted to keep my streak going, and the cafe waitress (stunning femme) helped me connect to the WIFI.

Excellent, well done! :-)

If I may, allow me to try and improve your text a little. No doubt someone will point out my errors too!

I don't believe 'cuvette' is the right word for a bowl of mussels but there may be a better term than 'bol'.

Also, instead of 'Au comptoir' one could say 'au zinc' - traditionally café bars are topped with zinc. also note that zinc is pronounce 'zingue' in French.

Ah merci - "J'ai pu"...imperfect not good in this instance?

This first sentence is a statement about what has been achieved, that's why imperfect doesn't fit.

Few corrections:

(*) Not sure what you mean exactly, but "un grand plat de moules* is probably what you meant.

Looks like we're on the same page! :-)
What would you call one of those big pots of mussels that the french enjoy? Une marmite peut-être?

marmite, it could be. But I took the safe path with the generic plat. ;)

In fact, especially for this sort of food, the container for cooking and serving is called " une marmite à moules" ou "cocotte à moule". It has this appearance : http://www.meilleurduchef.com/cgi/mdc/l/fr/boutique/produits/sim-cocotte_moule.html or : http://www.kookit.com/ustensiles-cuisine/cuisson/marmite-faitout/marmite-a-moules-rouge-18-cm-baumalu This container is specifically made to cook mussels and to serve it individually in the restaurants. Its high cover is used to collect the used shells during the meal (very practical).

Sorry if my English is not very good...

Thanks, that seems to the the answer then - une cocotte/marmite à moules. Not that I'll be ordering them myself, can't stand them! ;-)

Okay, context said bowl, but so did Google Translate as I have not taken the lesson with cuvette yet. ;-) Mais, une grande cuvette. ,-)
