Das/Das da

What's the diference between "Das da sind gute Männer" and "Das sind gute Männer"?

Do they both translate to: "These are good men?"

The first one says "These here are good men." as in you can see them while talking about them. While the second one just says "They/Those are good men", as in it's not implied if you see them or not at the moment.
