Why is "Ik heb in Afrika geleefd" wrong?

In the Netherlands we have 2 words for ''living''>''leven'' and ''wonen''. If you want to say: ''I live in Africa'' we say:'' Ik woon in Afrika'' and if you want to say something like: ''I live a happy life'' we say: ''Ik leef een gelukkig leven''.

That's interesting, thanks! Because in German, both "Ich habe in Afrika gewohnt" and "Ich habe in Afrika gelebt" works so that got me confused
