This is so sad...
I said that word for word right before I clicked on discussion hahaha
Would it be a correct translation to say "...although I am sad" instead of "...although I feel sadness"?
"literal translation" makes duolingo want you to translate "Czuję smutek"= "I feel sadness" "Jestem smutny"="I am sad."
"The tears of a clown, when there's no one around".
This is completely unrelated to everything but these levels here... Are sometimes interesting. Not long ago I was repeating "ona jest modelką", "modelka", "czy ona jest modelką?" and now finally I have some useful stuff!
"I am smiling, although I do feel sorrow."
We almost never accept the emphatic "do", but in this case it seems to harmonise quite well with the conjunction "although", therefore added.
Ah, yes, the perils of life
In Ukrainian: Ja posmichajusj', chocza ja sumuju. Similar.
I smile even though I feel sadness. 8/19. Why is my amswer wrong?
It's listed as a correct answer, it should have worked.
Damn Duolingo is getting dark
I am smiling despite i feel sorrow, could it be acceptable?
"...despite feeling sorrow" would be acceptable (added now).
