Help with Adjectives !

I always get confused with this:

Electric machines fundamentals? or Fundamentals of eletric machines?

In the first sentence, is the term "electric" in respect to fundamentals or to machines?

An other doubt is: Does machines in the first sentence needs an apostrophe? Like this: Electric machine's fundamentals?

Thanks for the help!!

Hi, I would write it as Fundamentals of electric machines. This sounds more natural to my ear. If you choose to write it the first way, then make machine singular... Electric machine fundamentals. You would not need an apostrophe in this case. I hope this helps.
