Nous sommes à côté de nous is wrong?
I think "hors de nous" is an idiomatic expression, so if you translate it literally but use the wrong word, it would be wrong and would sound funny. Like if a French person said in English, "Are you pulling my limb?"
here, "besides" is not translated as 'hors' when you peek
on sommes hors de nous is not right , wasnt it supposed on equals to ils/elles ?
"On" does not work with "sommes". "On" takes "est", since it is actually 3rd person singular (that is, the same as he, she or it).
why is "Nous sommes a côté de nous" wrong?
