Deleting posts on streams
I noticed that whenever I answer a post from someone else on my stream, I can't delete the thing I wrote without deleting the other person's post. If I change my mind about my answer, and I want to delete it or fix it, I am unable to do so. Is this only a problem on the previous Duolingo website style (which I still have), or does this also happen on the new style? It would be nice to be able to fix my answers in the same way as I can on Discussion.
It's been that was and it still is. I would actually like to be able to edit things. I can guess the thought behind it, though: streams are more private than comments. You might want to correct something that is public, but correcting a private thing might not be as important. Still, it would be a nice feature to have sooner or later. :)
I guess it's not that important . . . I would just like to get back what I delete. I often try to delete my answer, forgetting that doing this will delete the original post, also. I should be more careful; maybe I should put a note on the computer or something to remind me! :)
It would also be great if we could make line breaks and bullet points and such things, I often explain some things privately and as soon as I am trying to give an example it becomes a mess :(
