It's the country, although there is a slight error in the course here as the most common spelling adds another 'i' to become 'Tsieina', this will be corrected in the revised course.

The crockery is 'tsieni'

You should also capitalize "China" if it's the country; when I mouse over, it's giving me "china"

Did this spelling change get lost in the chaos?

I just put in the extra 'i' and it told me I had a typo.

I heard something like 'chay-na' for this. Is that a bug, or is it how it's actually pronounnced?

It's also spelled Tsieina in Welsh -- as you know, si often makes a sh- sound (siop = shop), so "chay-na" sounds like a possible pronunciation to me.

This has to be one of the more pleasant Welsh names for a country.
