I like to buy a novel I've read and liked in another language when I learn something new. Preferrably something that's not absurdly hard, like Umberto Eco in Italian. For instance, I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings in Spanish - fourth language I read it in. :)

Comics are also often a good idea, although I'm generally less fond of Swedish comics.

Also, read Wikipedia articles, look up your favorite Disney songs subbed into Swedish, and try Swedish Pod 101 (website AND YouTube channel). You can also follow some Swedish Youtubers.

Watch swedish news: http://www.svtplay.se/rapport Read a book (choosing a book is easier said than done if you can't skim the pages beforehand to see how well you're doing) - maybe start with a book that you have already read, Harry Potter maybe?

And of course: continue using duolingo, you could also start on some immersion articles.
