Russian tree 2.0?

Здравствуйте, друзья! Как дела?

I've been having a great time with the Russian course so far. Especially the History and Colloquial lessons are pure gold, thanks for making those! As you may have guessed from the topic title, I'm curious if Team Russian is working on (or is planning to work on) a new version of the tree based on user feedback. As awesome as the tree is now, it's always good to have new material to work with.

Cheers, Frank

Clozemaster.com is meant to be a continuation of the tree. I've only just poked around, so I can't verify the quality of the site, but you can check it out.

Have you tried the reverse tree in the meantime? It may tide you over until one of the courses gets a tree 2.0

Yes, I've been thinking about doing a reverse tree. Though I have seen with other users that it can screw up your personal scoreboard.

How so? I'm doing the reverse for German and haven't had any problems yet.

Sometimes when users switch from "Learn languages from English" to "Learn languages from X", the progress of from-English is not shown. But perhaps this was something of the past and they've fixed that now.

Think I'll just do the reverse tree and find out.

Oh, okay! I think it just shows the progress of courses from that language, but you can switch back and forth. Unfortunately they have not changed it yet.

Dunno about Russian 2.0 but I believe they ARE developing a new tree version for the inverse course (EN <--RU), at least I think that's what this thread is about.

They have done only 200 words for the last month, but the whole course has 2800 words. I think they will not release it in the near future.

So if there is an overhaul of the skill tree could I suggest some additions? Something I was missing so far was an "Adverbs" skill f.e. :)

Some additions that would make the tree even better would be, I think:

a bit more emphasis on basic grammar

an introduction lesson for the alphabet (at first, I had a lot of trouble telling the difference between ш, щ, ж, and ч).

some situation specific courses, for example: at the airport, on a date, first job interview, etc.

Мне кажется, дерево в русском курсе выглядит сыровато... Вопрос поддерживаю :)
