Yes, I think I could try :) When I was in Warsaw last year, I understood a lot of things native speakers talked about :) In my opinion A LOT OF words and phrases are incredibly similar in these two languages! Dobry dzień - Добрый день (Dobry den). Dobry wieczór - Добрый вечер (Dobry vecher). A sentence: "Dzień dobry", powiedział z uśmiechem Peter. - "День добрый", сказал с улыбкой Питер. (Den dobry, skazal s ulybkoj Peter) + here in Russian the word "powedal" also means "he said", and "usmeshka" means "a smile")... Pośpiesz się! = Поспешите! (pospeshite!) so many things :) Very interesting and not difficult at all. By the way, last month I visited Bratislava and I also understood a lot of Slovak words... at least I could understand almost 70% of what people say. So I guess Russian for Polish speakers would be rather easy, perhaps just a Cyrillic script could be difficult. Ohhh :) Yes, I will try to apply.

There is a boy in the Discussions who has been eager to contribute for quite a while. He eveb posted a number of lessons (an example). I only hope that Duolingo will not wait TOO long until they launch such course. We people tend to get busier as we age.

We have to do that anyway when learning, for example, Russian for English Speakers. If you have both Roman and Cyrillic scripts on your computer, you get used to pressing a key to make the changes. I have suggested that course writers might try to organize material so as to minimize the need for such changes, but maybe Duo is too random for this to be possible.

Oh so much YES! And I have only 1 upvote :( I've been lurking around the Russian for English speakers course since it came out and I still think it would be extremely counterproductive for me. If I may make a suggestion, change the title of the post to a more formal "Russian for Polish speakers" so more people would find it :)

Did it:) Thanks for the advice:) Do you mind as well to help advertise this course? And as well do you know Polish and Russian enough to try to contribute to a course? Sorry I'm asking so many questions:( -CaptainKaya-

Unfortunately, as far as I know all we can do is upvote the most upvoted thread suggesting creating the course and hope the Duolingo staff will see it and decide there's enough demand for it to make it. I don't know Russian at all (hence I would like to see this course created ;) ). And there's absolutely no problem with your questions, if you have any more ask away :)

Has anyone applied yet? You can do it here: https://incubator.duolingo.com/apply Contributors must be fluent both in Polish and Russian and be able to devote enough time to the course. I hope such people will be found here. If not, maybe some of you know people who are not Duolingo users now but could contribute to such a course.

that would be amazing :) !
